How long does it last?

Lip blush lasts 1-3 years, A common misconception is that when you get lip blush, you are committing to a lifelong colour, however, due to the skin on the lips, the colour fades over time. This is where you can decide if you want to maintain the result by doing ‘colour boosts’ when the pigment is no longer visible or letting the pigment fade entirely.


How do you choose the colour?

This is factored in with your natural lip colour and your goals, it’s best to bring in your favourite lip colour so we can match up the pigment to suit your perfect shade. We will also make suggestions based on your natural undertones.

How many appointments are required?

Typically, there are two sessions to start, the first session is to set the base, and then you return six weeks later for the touch-up. This is where we will assess your healed result and make adjustments.

In some cases, an additional layer of pigment is required. This is only based on personal preference as well as your skin type and can be booked at an additional cost if you would like to layer more pigment.

  • Your lips will appear most vibrant within the first 24–48 hours. As the outer layer naturally peels, the colour will soften into a sheer, even tint. You will be provided with detailed aftercare post treatment.

    A perfecting retouch session at 6–8 weeks is recommended to refine colour and definition. Expect your lips to fade 25–50% during the healing phase, with shedding that may occur, lasting 3–4 days depending on skin type.

    • Avoid hot drinks and spicy food for the first 48 hours; drink through a straw if needed.

    • No makeup on the treated area for at least 7 days.

    • Slight swelling may occur for the first 24-48 hours

    • The colour will have a bloom where it looks more intense than the head result, this will subside within 72hours

    • Expect light peeling and flaking as the outer layer heals; do not pick or peel. Let it shed naturally.

    • Continue applying a thin layer of the recommended balm/ointment to keep lips moisturised.
