Lip blush or lip filler? which is right for you

If you’re wondering what the difference is between lip blush vs. fillers, here’s a quick run down of the pro’s and cons of each, to help you decide which is going to achieve your lip goals.

Lip fillers give you plumper lips by injecting them with a dermal filler which increases the overall size or volume of your lips - giving you a ‘plumping effect’.

Lip blushing enhances your lips’ natural colour,  by adding pigment to make them subtly bolder and brighter especially if you feel you’ve lost the colour and shape definition,

Both treatments can help you achieve the gorgeous lips of your dreams, it really depends on what problem you are trying to solve, as to which you should get done.

In. short, lip filler = size + plumpness of your lips, lip blush = colour and shape of your lips.

Should you do lip filler or lip blush first?

In our experience, the lip blush works best first, as the skin is easier to work on a lot of shape asymmetries can be corrected - resulting in  less filler being needed if you decide to go down that route.

The second (and perhaps more important) reason to get your lip blush before fillers is that lip fillers will change the shape of your lips. This means that lip blush applied over lip fillers might not look right once the fillers have faded.

I’VE ALREADY HAD MY LIPS INJECTED CAN I DO LIP BLUSHING?

LIP FILLERS ARE GREAT PAIRING WITH LIP BLUSHING SINCE IT CAN HELP PERFECT THE OVERALL SHAPE! IF YOU’VE ALREADY GOTTEN LIP FILLERS, PLEASE WAIT A MINIMUM OF 4 WEEKS AFTER INJECTIONS, BEFORE SCHEDULING A LIP BLUSHING TREATMENT.

IF YOU PLAN TO GET LIP FILLERS POST LIP BLUSHING, PLEASE WAIT A MINIMUM OF 2 WEEKS AFTER YOUR SCHEDULED TOUCH-UP SESSION.
